How we work
From analysis to rig floor.
One process across every engagement, whether it’s a single program review or a full campaign. You always know what we’re doing, what it costs, and what you’ll get at the end.
The process
Five steps, one team.
Engineering-only engagements stop after step two. Turnkey work runs all five. Either way, the same people carry it through.
- 01
Assess
We review the well plan, the program, and the constraints — and agree on the problem you actually need solved. Scope, deliverables, and fees are set in writing before work starts.
- 02
Engineer
Drilling program, hydraulics, and pressure/well-control design, modeled and stress-tested before anyone mobilizes. Your engineers review it with ours, not after us.
- 03
Specify
The right equipment for the application — sized, spec’d, and matched to the engineering, not to a catalog.
- 04
Supply
We source and deliver the hardware through our vetted network — quality-assured and on schedule.
- 05
Support
On-site commissioning, testing, and field engineering — until it runs the way it was designed to. Then a post-well review against the plan, so the next well starts ahead.
The well lifecycle
One partner,
every phase.
Before anyone mobilizes
The well is drilled on paper first. Casing and cementing design, hydraulics, torque & drag — modeled, stress-tested, and priced before a single truck rolls.
- Well & casing design
- Hydraulics + torque & drag modeling
- Permitting & regulatory support
Spud to TD, engineered
MPD and well-control strategy, real-time drilling optimization, and wellsite supervision — pressure and trajectory handled by plan, not by luck.
- MPD & well-control design
- Drilling optimization
- Wellsite supervision / company rep
From TD to first oil
Completion and stimulation design that fits the rock — frac strategy, perforation, sand control, and well integrity from casing shoe to frac plug.
- Completion & frac design
- Perforation strategy
- Sand control & integrity
Every barrel it can give
Nodal analysis, artificial-lift selection, and production engineering that lift recovery and cut lifting cost — for the life of the well.
- Nodal analysis
- Artificial-lift selection & tuning
- Production surveillance
What we hold ourselves to
Engineering first. Hardware to match.
Independent judgment
Recommendations answer to your well and your economics — not to a single manufacturer’s product line.
One accountable partner
The team that engineers the program also specs and supplies the hardware. No gaps between the plan and the parts.
Cost per foot, not cost per part
Right-spec’d equipment and fewer failures matter more than the cheapest line item.
Written down
Programs, procedures, and reviews your team can file, audit, and reuse.
The cost of waiting
What does NPT
cost you a year?
Every hour a rig waits, the spread rate keeps running. Put your numbers in — then ask whether the engineering was the expensive part.

Tell us about the well.
An engineer reads every request and replies within one business day.
